Specializes in the use of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), and clinical hypnosis for assisting individuals in recovering from a wide variety of traumatic incidents, improving performance, decreasing anxiety and depression, reducing physical pain, and achieving optimal health and well-being of mind, body, and spirit.

Spent considerable time and effort to develop Lyerly Counseling Services, LLC in 1998. She earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work at U.N.C.-Chapel Hill in 1991. She became fully licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in 1994.

Trained and certified in Advanced Clinical Hypnosis by the National Academy of Clinical Hypnosis; and has been certified and awarded the status of Consultant by the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.

Trained by the EMDR Institute in Level II EMDR in 2000. She was certified in Advanced Critical Incident Stress Management by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation in 2002. Trained in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Level II in 2013.

Presented “Creating New Frontiers by Expanding Horizons through Integration of Hypnosis, Emotional Freedom Technique, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing” at the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis” annual conference in St. Louis, Missouri in 2016. Presented "Lessons of Transformation from EFT, EMDR and NDEs to Enhance Your Clinical Hypnosis Practice" with Larry Burke, MD at the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis in Phoenix, Arizonia in 2017.

Member of the National Association of Social Workers and the EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) International Association.
