HONOR VETERANS, FIRST RESPONDERS, FIREFIGHTERS & LAW ENFORCEMENT

Lyerly Counseling Services, LLC devotes extra time and care to make sure that veterans, first responders, firefighters, and law enforcement are taken care of.

Honor Veterans

Demonstrating recognition of importance of effective use of Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, EMDR, EFT and hypnosis being used to assist veterans in recovery from PTSD, while normalizing the PTSD experience, which is viewed as a result of trauma and not a personal weakness.

Lyerly Counseling Services, LLC with Lyerly Funeral Home, sponsored coffee at Thelma's for veterans to gather together once a week.

Patti Lyerly, LCSW also worked with the homeless veteran population at Rowan Helping Ministries. While there, she provided free training to staff on helping individuals heal from trauma. The videos from these trainings can be found on YouTube under “Patti Lyerly”.

Currently, Patti is very involved in the Veterans Walk to raise awareness of the very high suicide rate in veterans and the need for effective treatment for PTSD. Please see VETERANS WALK for details.

Also assisted another fire dept. in teaching the skills of self-hypnosis to junior firefighters, which enabled them to be successful in competition. She co-sponsored Christmas dinners for them through the Lyerly Funeral Home. Patti Lyerly, LCSW also provided training for local emergency services personnel on overcoming the effects of trauma. Patti is also very involved in the Walk for Heroes. (Please see www.WalkforHeroes.org.)
